From 24 January to 1 February 2026, we will be hosting the 12th edition of BIDF, the biggest international film festival in Hungary.

We've gathered everything you need to know about ticket prices and how to buy tickets.

The festival has 13 venues across the country. In addition to Budapest, there are 12 cities:

Tickets can be purchased at the websites of the cinemas hosting the festival and at their ticket offices. You can find out more about the films, venues and related information on our website at BIDF.HU.

Ticket prices and conditions of use may vary depending on the location. If you have any questions, we will try to answer them as soon as possible, but we encourage you to contact the online or on-site customer service of the venue or cinema in question. 

Budapest:

Tickets: 

• General ticket price:
  • Online price: 2.810 Ft
  • On-site price: 2.690 Ft
• Student group ticket price:
  • On-site price: 1.600 Ft/person
    • Details:
      • FREE TICKETS FOR GUARDIANS 1 person per 10 students (minimum group size 15 students).
      • Tickets can only be purchased on site. Reservations can be made by calling Cinema City's customer service or by e-mailing petra.pozsonyi@cinemacity.hu, or in person at the cinema box office.
• BIDF gift ticket (voucher):
  • Online price: 2.810 Ft
  • On-site price: 2.690 Ft
  • Available at: Cinema City Mammut cinema and Cinema City Debrecen cinemas
• Sponsor ticket - For the Grand Opening:

            Jegyvásárlás adományként, kizárólag átutalással.

• Price: 8.500 Ft
  • What does the ticket entitle you to?
  • Tickets for the BIDF Opening Ceremony:
    • Date: 24 January 2026, 18:00 (registration from 17:00);
    • Venue: Cinema City Mammut cinema I, room 6 (1024 Budapest Lövőház utca 2-6);
    • Programme: opening event, screening of the opening film, reception;
    • How can you pay your donation?

Please pay the price of the Sponsor Ticket (8500 HUF) to the bank account of the BIDF Alapítvány foundation (16200137-18531730), indicating "Sponsor Ticket" next to your name in the message!

Pick up your supporter ticket: on Saturday 24 January 2026 from 17:00 at Cinema City Mammut cinema I, at the festival's office.

Passes:

• 4+1:
  • On-site price: 10.760 HUF (4x 2.690 HUF)
  • (4 tickets for BIDF 2026 will buy 5 BIDF 2026 screenings, available at Mammut II Cinema City ticket offices)
• Sponsor pass:
  • Price: 35. 000 Ft
    • What the pass entitles you to:

1. Entrance ticket to the BIDF opening ceremony:

• Date: 24 January 2026, 18:00 (registration from 17:00);
• Venue: Cinema City Mammut I. cinema, Room 6 (1024 Budapest Lövőház utca 2-6);
• Programme: opening event, screening of the opening film, reception;

2. Festival pass for all screenings of BIDF 2026:

• Date: 24 January - 1 February 2026 Location: Cinema City Mammut cinema II (1024 Budapest Lövőház utca 2-6);
• How can you pay your donation?
• Please pay the price of the Sponsor ticket (35.000 HUF) to the bank account of the BIDF Alapítvány foundation (16200137-18531730), indicating in the message next to your name: "Sponsor ticket plus festival pass"!
• You can pick up your sponsor pass from 17:00 on 24 January 2026 at the festival's office (Cinema City Mammut cinema I), and on the following days during the office opening hours (11:00-18:00).

At the festival's regional venues, ticket prices will be based on the specific pricing of the cinema and screening venue and may vary. Visitors are kindly requested to check the exact ticket prices and conditions of purchase on the official website of the cinema or venue (online or on site).

The information on the website and on our communication platforms is for information purposes only. For precise and valid rules on ticket purchase, refunds, exchanges and other consumer conditions, please consult the official website, ticket sales platform or customer service of the cinema in question.

Exceptions to this rule are transactions relating to passes transferred directly to the BIDF - a Dokumentumfilmekért Alapítvány (foundation for documentaries), which are subject to the Foundation's own terms and conditions.
